The gypsy, or bohemian style, has been long revered for its carefree attitude and its focus on easy to wear clothing. This summer, designers have been trying to replicate that style in their collections, and hoping to evoke a sense of effortless fashion.

The typical features of the gypsy style are: long flowy skirts and dresses, headbands, eclectic jewelry and colorful prints. The hair and makeup in this style are minimal and care free, and wearing a turban or flowery hair accessory is sometimes used. This summer, designers Dolce and Gabbana were particularly inspired by the gypsy look and used it as their main muse for their S/S 13 collection. Dressing in a gypsy or boho style is quite simple. Comfort is key, and the oversized clothing is perfect to wear on a day around town or at the beach. Just remember to bring out your inner beauty, and don’t be too concerned with looking stuffy or overdone; just be your naturally stunning self.
