Job Description Position Summary: Reporting to the Brand Manager, the incumbent in this role is responsible for providing support to the Brand Manager to assist in the smooth operation of Brand production and sales. Provides administrative assistance, analyzes and communicates relevant information to the Brand Manager.

Major (Primary) Responsibilities:

  • Receives, reviews and answers inquiries by email, phone and fax to maintain constant communication with Vendors, Agents and Brand head offices.
  • Prepares and distributes detailed memos to Sales Team, Customer Service Team and
  • Distribution Managers to provide prompt notification of any changes such as style cancellations and oversold styles, availability of merchandise and cancelled orders.
  • Enters purchase orders to be sent to suppliers and checks received orders against packing slips to ensure the accuracy of shipments.
  • Tracks and monitors shipments to ensure the timely delivery of all goods and samples.
  • Enters data into computer system to provide product information, to initiate invoices and maintain inventory sample database.
  • Receives Brand samples, sort and assemble sample packages to distribute to the sales teams.
  • Produces and prints various reports to provide Brand managers with current and up-to-date information and maintains seasonal binders.
  • Prepares and participates in sales meetings to introduce collections and provide education and appropriate tools to sell the merchandise.
  • Showroom maintenance
  • Manages and updates samples regarding status of open to sell inventory.
  • Enters EIW’s

    Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:

    Skills: Normal courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with others in every day working relationships. Keyboarding, problem solving, multitasking and ability to work independently.

    Knowledge/Education: High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent plus a One Year diploma or certificate in Fashion or Business Merchandising
    Knowledgeable in Photoshop and Design
    WHIMIS Training

    Working Conditions:

    Physical Effort: May be required to sit for long periods of time with opportunity to stretch or move about. Some stooping and light lifting, normal to an office environment, such as carrying files, may be required.

    Physical Environment: Generally a comfortable environment with some exposure to dust or dirt or some other condition which may produce mild temporary discomfort.

    Sensory Attention: There is a moderate need for sensory attention to maintain concentration levels and ensure accuracy.

    Mental Stress: Minimal exposure to circumstances which cause mental stress. Ability to meet deadlines and create accurate work may from time to time create moderate pressure.
