Bravado Designs is an intimate apparel company that manufactures and markets maternity and nursing lingerie. Founded in 1992, our products are worn and loved by moms worldwide, including celebrity moms like Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Alba. We have an immediate opening and are looking for an individual to join our company in the role of Design Assistant. This is a contract position (12 months) with full time extension a possibility. The Design Assistant is part of the Design Department and reports to the Head Designer. We are looking for an energetic, motivated individual who is highly adaptable to change in a fast paced open space environment. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with our current team of elite designers in the lingerie category.

Below is an outline of the roles and responsibilities:

• Garment spec-ing
• Pattern Making
• Working with Lectra System
• Order raw materials for development
• Communicate with overseas vendor
• Aid in fitting prototypes
• Setting spec
• Aid in fitting of live models
• Schedule fitting with live models
• Technical Drawing
• Presentation story board
• Cutting
• Costing


Job specifications:
• Must be a graduate of a design school
• Must know Illustrator and Photoshop
• A meticulous worker, self motivated individual, who is willing to learn
