Description
BIB Communications is looking for an innovative, driven, strategically thinking business student to join the BIB team for the fall months as a Communications Intern. The internship will ideally begin October 1st 2012.
As the Communications Intern you will be working alongside the PR Specialist and Creative Director to support the development and execution of integrated marketing, public relations, and social media campaigns. The day to day tasks will touch on but are not limited to competitive research and analysis, market research, brainstorming, business analysis, creative development, sample trafficking, and client pitching focussed on the fashion, lifestyle and retail industries.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills are required for this role, as you will be connecting one on one with BIB clients, marketing contacts, and the media. In this role you will be responsible for general customer service at BIB. A friendly and “up-beat” manner is required when answering calls and responding to customer/outside inquiries. You will also be in charge of general office tasks such as: shipping & receiving packages, sorting mail & ordering office supplies.
The Communications Intern will manage a significant fall project that will challenge your creative thinking abilities, develop your marketing skills, test your business analytics, and build confidence in written communication.
It is extremely important that you are a strong multi-tasker and are willing to be involved in a variety of projects at BIB. We work in a highly team-based environment at BIB; it is essential that you have a positive attitude and are a team player. Limited travel and weekend work may be required.
