PR/Marketing Intern for Fashion Series
Fashion Series is looking for a talented PR/Marketing intern to extend our growing team for our fashion magazine. We are seeking an organized and highly energetic team player. This demanding position with a high level of responsibility and requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
•Create content for, monitor, contribute, build, engage and manage Fashion Series' social media presence on communities such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
•Drafts basic public relations materials including news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and other materials as directed.
•Pitching new concepts for media coverage angles.
•Assists with the development and updating of media lists and other databases, including client, marketing, prospect and administrative databases.
•Coordinating with the senior editor and editor-in-chief to ensure that all communications—whether e-mailed, entered on the Website, or distributed through social media, and either text, image, or video—have a consistent message.
•Attending industry events on behalf of the magazine.
Ideal Candidate will:
•Familiarity with Toronto's fashion industry
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Courteous, outgoing, positive and friendly
•Strong work ethic, disciplined and a self-starter
•Resourceful and well organized
•Able to work effectively independently or within a team
•Comfortable and effective under pressure and working in a dynamic environment
-Quick learner with proactive attitude, sound judgement and strong problem solving skills
•Previous experience with online marketing and social media is a must

Fashion Series is an electronic publication entirely dedicated to discovering, showcasing, and promoting the most striking fashion imagery created by Toronto's aspiring fashion industry professionals. Our mission is to provide a distinct platform for fashion photographers, models, designers, stylists, makeup artists, and hair stylists through visual series and exclusive interviews. Fashion Series will highlight these rising stars by encouraging and unveiling their talents in the form of a cohesive photographic collection. In addition, via exclusive interviews, we aim to yield some background information about the showcased artist, the artist's intention, technical specification, an indication of their works historical and theoretical context - and, at the same time provide our readers with an amazing visual fashion experience.
