Vancouver Fashion Jobs – Laced Up

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

Timelessly elegant and sweetly sophisticated lace is one trend that we continue to see receive a contemporary, chic update each new season. Fall 2012 being no exception, designers like Erdem, Jason Wu, and Nanette Lapore re-created classic romantic lace with a twist, mixing the pastel or neon trends from the Spring and Summer in with darker, more prominent fare to reflect the cooler season ahead. A perfect mix of sweet and sexy, this remixed feminine lace gets a touch of bold saturated color to create lust worthy standout style amongst a sea of earthy tones and brooding black. To amp up lace’s modern makeover opt for pieces that are overlaid and appliquéd over top a neutral shade like black, or come in vivid colors and sleek silhouettes for high-fashion style. The end result is lavishly luxe and richly opulent, leaving us to once again covet this new crop of pretty lace pieces.

Montreal Fashion Jobs – Pocket Full of Posies

Friday, July 13th, 2012

Good news fashionistas, summer has arrived! You can now officially stop and smell the roses while still looking fabulous. Head to toe floral prints are all the rage this season, straight off the runways and budding on the streets. Match patterns as a suit or pair different designs together from collections like Erdem or Chloé, and break up the look by adding a punch of color in a bright or pastel tone of lilac, sunflower, or robins egg blue. By mixing high-end designers with less expensive trend pieces you can add versatility to an outfit on a more affordable budget, and create a look all your own. Whether attending an actual garden tea or an outdoor wedding this summer, these fun trends only come around once a year… Our advice? Wear it while it is hot!
