Montreal Fashion Jobs – Head Case

Thursday, January 24th, 2013

Personally, there’s nothing worse during the cold winter months than having cold ears! This season I made it my mission to not only stay warm, but also look fashionable while walking my dog. I even had a friend knit me a turban headband for Christmas and got back an old pair of rabbit fur earmuffs I had leant to a friend a few cold winters back. Some people may say they look silly, but they are more than welcome to freeze in their boots, while we all stay warm and look effortlessly chic at the same time. Try any of these cool trends to stay hot this year!

Calgary Fashion Jobs – Brimming With Style

This season wide brim hats take on a variety of shapes and sizes to fit a range of styles and looks suitable for the cool-weather of fall, making this accessory a steady staple in any wardrobe. A bold chapeau is a nod to vintage 70s flair with felted finishes, streamlined trimmings, feathered accents and ribbon details. Rich, saturated jewel tones in luxe textural materials create a sleek city polish with wide brim hats. Vancouver Fashion Jobs – Vacation Time

Friday, March 30th, 2012

Going on Vacay? Here’s what you should bring (Tropical Edition!)

Traveling this spring/summer? Sometimes we all get a little anxiety over what to pack and what outfits we’re going to wear! If you’re going to a resort, the items below are what you need, no more, no less! Stop stressing about it, I even created outfits for you! Always pack versatile pieces. The embroidered chiffon dress in a bright coral is perfect for dressing up or down, and you can even layer a pullover over top to make it look like a skirt. Also, it’s easy to pack, and if it wrinkles it’s not noticeable (chiffon is easy to get wrinkles out of too!) Bring a comfortable flat sandal, and a dressier wedge sandal to take your look from day to night, and always remember to bring a tote beach bag, but also a cute bag to take if you do some sight-seeing in town. Another versatile piece that I adore is the wrap bracelet, it’s one long strand which means you can wear it as a necklace too!

Montreal Fashion Jobs – The Do’s and Don’ts of Fall and Winter Fashion

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

It’s easy to be super stylish this fall and winter by keeping in mind these very simple “dos and don’ts”. Starting off, leave the UGGs and their look-a-likes at home; they’re not waterproof and impossible to keep clean coming into winter. Instead, look for a sexy leather knee-high or ankle boot, which you can pair with any fall/winter outfit. Next, save the parkas and sweatpants for super cold days. Seeing these items in the fall and early winter with leaves on the ground is just silly; you need to save those jackets and sweats for snowstorms and zero degree Celsius weather. Instead, pick up a patterned cocoon coat and a great pair of jeggings. These comfy and warm alternatives can give you that fashionable oomph that can make for a stunning look. One more very important fashion “don’t”? Those animal-head winter hats. These are reserved for the wee ones under five years of age. Ladies, we can do better with a slouchy wool beanie. Check out our favourite fashion “dos” below.

1. Style inspiration: think layers, sleek coats and comfy leather boots. Photo courtesy of Garance Dore.
2. Sleek & Flat Leather Knee-High Boot ($270), available at Nine West.
3. Patterned Cocoon Coat ($138), available at Gap.
4. Marc by Marc Jacob Jeggings ($138), available at Shopbop.
5. Zono Slouched Hat ($45), available at Big It Up.
