In a world where showing cleavage and midriffs is considered sexy, this fall, there is a new body part that is stealing the show: shoulders.

The demure look of the sexy shoulder has been represented in many different ways. Some retailers are opting to use mesh around the collar area, whereas others have completely removed the material that would cover the shoulders. This is a look that is sensual in the most casual of ways. The bit of exposed shoulder will turn any outfit into a piece that is ready for a night out. The only issue with a sexy shoulder is that you need to have an appropriate bra. However, once you find a strapless that is comfortable, you’ll be able to wear this look with ease.

This fall, looking demurely sexy can be easy just by adding an exposed shoulder to your wardrobe.

Calgary Fashion Jobs – The Fresh Flapper

Monday, May 28th, 2012

Relive the roaring 20s as a fabulous flapper. This modern feminine trend puts the great back into the Great Gatsby by reviving the golden jazz age with art deco inspiration. Designer collections like Gucci, Christian Dior and Alberta Ferretti were reminiscent of the new opulent 20s woman. The glitz and glam of the era can be achieved with drop waist dresses, fringe details, pleats, art deco designs like geometric shapes and lines along with the sparkle and shine of sequins, shimmery fabrics and lustrous metallics. Opt for silhouettes that skim the body as true flapper style has that boyish charm mixed in with flirty, femininity. To reinvent the fresh flapper look it’s all about clothing contours, delicate details and luxe embellishments in soft hues.

Toronto Fashion Jobs – Peplums Are Pretty

Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

Designers like Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli, Marc Jacobs, and Proenza Schouler embraced peplums in 2011, and this feminine shape is sure to be a major trend heading into spring. Celebrities like Emma Stone and Jennifer Hudson have flocked to peplum dresses for walking the red carpet, but this curve-loving style is also easy to wear during the day. Just choose a peplum top! Thankfully this trend is flattering on all figures, because the hourglass silhouette can both camouflage a tummy and highlight a teeny waist.
